Over the years of industrial development in the regions of the Russian Arctic, a significant potential of industrial heritage has been accumulated, with industrial sites serving as attractions for potential tourists. This provides an opportunity to develop industrial tourism, which is a promising sector of the modern tourism industry. The geographical features of the Arctic and its uneven transport infrastructure complicate the development of tourism in the region, including industrial one. To address this issue, it is necessary to identify the most accessible areas for tourists and to determine the types of industrial tourism that may be in demand. In this study, using content analysis of specialized tourism websites, we assessed the current state of industrial tourism development in each region of the Russian Arctic and identified what types of it are presented in tour programs. We analyzed the logistics capabilities of the Arctic regions for tourism development by determining the financial and time costs for potential tourists and comparing the results for each selected Arctic transport center. In terms of the availability of necessary resources and the lowest financial and time costs, the development of industrial tourism shows the greatest potential in the Murmansk Oblast, the Republic of Karelia, the Arkhangelsk Oblast, the Komi Republic and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. For each region of the Russian Arctic, we have identified the sectors that form the resource base for the development of industrial tourism, and recommended enterprises that should be used to develop career-oriented tours designed to attract labor resources.
